Title: Diff Lock
Post by: old bob on May 12, 2005, 13:19:56
I ve just brought a range rover classic that has been bob tailed :D , the first range rover I have owned and havent even brought a workshop manual yet. I have my doubts about the diff lock knob working correctly. How can I prove that the diff lock is physically engaging/ working? :?:  :?:

Jack up one wheel and see if you can turn it any distance with the box in neutral.  Some Rangies had a vacuum operated diff-lock so you may need the engine running.

its a 4 speed manual. I have jacked it up and as suspected nothing is happening. I will look into it on sunday hopefully. Cheers for the advice.
