The Disco passed MOT yesterday, whoopie, no advisories, just A1 pass. Drove it out the testing station and got 100 yards and it conked out. Wouldn't start for love nor money. :evil: :evil: Walked back to the testing station and the MOT man said it's your imobilizer mate ! Sure enough after playing with the remote for 2 mins she fired up. Clever man.
Now I just can't wait till the next time she decides to cut out on me for no apparent reason :-(
Anyone know where the ECU is for the imobilizer ??

I now how to beat the immobilzer on a disco PM me and I'll tell you how.
How do I now well I had a 300TDi disco and mine went but eventully worked it out...........

BTW the spider behind the dash cracks and b%^%(£ up your immobilzer (its called the spider cause its got 8 black wires to it) you have to remove the complete dashboard to get to it

Yes at least for, one on each end of the prop shafts :lol:
Plus the other types in the nooks and crannies like wing mirrors

odd thing is mine went through MOT np, got it home and now running like a dog and can't get it to run right. Have to admit the emissions were a bit on the high side but not failed. Just wish it was as easy as a immobiliser :cry:
plus getting all the way home from post office to then realising that the doppy mare hadn't stamped the tax disc :roll:
