Title: Today was a good day
Post by: beast5680 on May 19, 2005, 22:11:31
decided I would start fitting the polybushes to the disco today after work :D  Have managed to do both rear links and the front radius arms and the panhard rod having managed to get all the bolts out with no problem whatsoever   they all just slipped out
Having borrowed a friends Bushwacka bush removing tool the removal of the old knackered bushes was a doddle, Marvellous tool i must get one( but they are about £200 which i dont have)
poly bushes fitted and all parts refitted on the car in 2 hours which i thought was good going as i have heard that the bolts sometimes need cutting off and then driven out of the bush cos they,re seized

Wasn't it raining down your way today? Or do you have indoor facilities?

poured with rain all day Gordon! luckily where i work the workshop is big enough for the boss to let me keep the disco in its own little corner out the way of everything.
Having looked every where at different prices of bushes i went for a set from MM4x4 as i ordered a tyre from them as well for my spare, my kit didnt come with antiroll bar bushes as i dont have them on mine but everything else was there, good job i decided to do them really cos the front radius arm bushes were shot. just got to change the drag link ball joint on the drivers side while i have the wheels off as i found the boot was split and it was full of sand
