hi all  just bought a 90  can you peeps tell me what is th most common wheel/tyre size to go with a 2 inch lift?  or indeed which combo works best i have been offerd some 265/70/16 mt  ,its my daily ride so dont want to upset the gearing and make it gutless  any info would be welcome cheers.

235/85 R 16 is probably the best bet.

The vehicle should be happy enough on them.  You can go bigger with the lift, but they will start to affect the gearing.  

What engine is in it ?


I would say the 265s are going to be a bit small.

thanks tim  you are a hive of info  the engine is a 200tdi just been recond less than a 1000 mls ago  . i expect that 235 s are a tidy bit cheaper as well.

Got 235,85, 16s on mine without any probs and no lift, did think about 265 75 16, which im told will be ok.

Er, yes.. I was assuming you already had the lift... You shouldn't need the lift with 235s if you were thinking that was the case.
