Just received my copy of the above and as always open up the back page for Total Chaos, and I must say I'm a little shocked with what I saw.
Ian McQuade is better know to his fans as General E, for reasons we'd best not speculate upon. This happened at Rout Farm playday, after his SJ (rems of) slid into a double rollover. Ni-i-ice
The picture shows a rather battered SJ and a person hanging out of the windscreen.
Not sure from the pic if this is a gag or not, but doesn't look good in my eyes, this is the first of its kind within TOR and I think there should have been a expatiation or the picture not shown.

if you have seen some of the nuggets in sj,s at rout farm you probably wouldnt raise your eyebrows so much, i dont go there any more as there is no proper marshalling and i consider it dangerous as you never know at the top of a descent whether you will meet an idiot in an sj coming up at high speed, no disrespect to any sj owners but this is what i have seen when there
pic attached is of a guy who told every one to watch as he showed them how to do it :shock: well i,m glad i dont then :lol:

Like you said they should have explained the picture better, going to get my copy tomorrow and see for my self :?

Bet he wasnt wearing his seat belt either, couldve been nasty that and caused all sorts of problems. I know these Pay and Play sites have waring signs etc, but a minnority ignore the rules and this is what can happen.

Sorry Phil i know what you mean, they should have not shown the driver/passenger hanging out of the windscreen.
But it does kind of act like a reminder to us all, as to what can happen when showing off etc to freinds/onlookers..

Looking at that, I would say it was just them having a bit of a giggle...
TOR probably should have put a note on to the effect that "No SJ drivers were harmed in the making of this photo" or similar to keep the humour.

I hope that is a set up, i think it might be proberbly survived the roll earlier then thought it would be funny to climb back in put the windscreen on the bonnet and pose hopeing to make it in the back pages of TOR. Certainly got his wish...

The fact he's holding on to the windscreen to stop it falling off the bonnet is a bit of a tell ;-)

Some folk will do owt to get a free subscription, at least it gives folk something new to moan about instead of the Ed sticking his middle finger up!!!!

that looks like a wind up picture
rout farm as a site would be ok if there were any rules etc, warning signs,marshalls, directional routes, but it is a free for all. you pays your money and then off you go
last time i was there there were idiots on racing quads going flat out all over the place and sj,s with kids driving them just tearing around all over the place.
when i go to slindon or grand canyon in sussex the marshalls are clearly marked out from the other users, routes are marked out in the most part indicating dificulty and direction and if your being a pratt then a quiet word is had ,carry on and your out
