Billing : Gathering & Barbecue
« on: July 05, 2005, 13:55:47 »
Laydeez and jellyspoons,

following the success of last years barbecue at bling, it is hereby proposed that we hold a re-run this year to check that we're all still alive and that Tim can still cook. Therefore you are all cordially invited to join us for a saturday evening barbecue. Tim will be providing the barbecue and charcoal and generally holding court in that area, while food will be provided by means of a whip round during the preceeding day(s). sadly you will have to bring your own drinks.
Therefore i take great pleasure in cordially inviting you all to join us for a saturday evening barbecue at our chosen camp area of heron island Billing. In case our plan to take over a whole island fails you may wish to stop by the muddyweb stand and check on the alternative location, but rest assured we will be stuffing our faces and downing the odd small beer from 8pm, Saturday 16th July.

Formal dress: optional.

Are last minute drop-in'ers allowed? I'm hoping to come for the Saturday and would like/hope to stay for the BBQ - it all depends on whether my children get in on the act and how well they last the day

Any idea what the contribution amount will be? I would be happy to commit the money (if not my presence) if required?

slight change of location
I've spoken to young Dave this morning and as feared Heron island was already block booked. So now he's looking at a pitch on shellduck meado9w(?) back from the beer tent by the brook but west from the footbridge. I'll speak to him later on and get you all a firm location before i leave computer world on wednesday.

Camping location: Shellduck meadow 2
The news from our advance recce party is that Heron Island is already taken, therefore we are reconvening in shellduck meadow 2 alongside the brook, between the footbridge and "Vinny's" shop type thing on the corner. Otherwise the plan goes ahead with camping, beer, and the saturday barbie.
