defender heaters
« on: August 10, 2005, 20:22:54 »
When i bought my 90 the two cables to the heater matrix were not connected so i was just wandering which point on the matrix each cable was ment to go to, I tried messing about with the levers on the matrix but burnt my arm on the exahust so gave up with that.
Any help apreciated, Jon

If you look at the box the matrix is in it will become obvious. There are two levers attached to internal flaps. One is on the front and one down the side which isn't particularly easy for access. One "controls" the heat and the other attempts pityfully to direct air (usually of the wrong temparature) to various outlets on/under the "dash".( leastways this is what happens with mine ever since all the foam seals got eaten by whatever lives in mud) In front of the levers are some bracket type things with some (two I think) slots in them, these hold the cable outer using a spring clip. hth
Cheers, Karl..
