AAAARGHHHH!!!!!
A 68/69 in a Shelby style paintwork.
Could be a GT350/390 (Bullitt) or possibly a 500 (as per Eleanor)

Well spotted! :D

It's now in my imaginary garage

Did you hear it first by anychance??

Sound nice don't they? Big, or small, blocks
Here's the link for the replicas

In the States, Hertz had a fleet of Brown (& gold striped) GT350's as hire cars*
Needless to say they were soon decimated. Accidents. Weekend drag-racing.
Parts swapping  , yes!, they went back to Hertz with 260ci engines (apparantly they never checked them over on return)

* Some other colurs were included, like that black one

Parts swapping happens here too
I worked for TLS rental for 3 years and we used to have transits coming back with bald tyres and rusty wheels. Thing is, they where brand new motors.
Same with the cars.
I remember a Mondeo Ghia came back once with an LX interia.
All the leather, gone!
Checky b*ggers!

Not quite the same sorts of cars, but the same idea!

Ghia X
The X makes all the difference!

No, items never returned.
Some of the checkers would miss 'small' details like a different interia!

Aaha, that was on her 'allowed list' she ought to have had that, chocolatey finger-prints wipe off easier.

She's already got her next car figured out, if (no, that's when  ) she gets promoted to Project Director for the Leceister build
Jaguar S-Type (twin-turbo diesel) all being well.

Not too sure when though :?

Failing that  & she stays with the 'Mondeo class' & the rules change regarding allowed marques, the new Octavia vRS (no diesel only policy)

I reckon the Octavia vRS on a set of steel-wheels, a non-descript colour, debadged with a trilby on the parcel-shelf.

A real 'Q-car'

West Yorkshire Police operate a few of the mark 1 vRS's & are apparantly very happy with them

She hasn't got the promotion yet, it's just been whispered 'off the record' that it may probably come her way.

The S-Type is what she'll ask for, (if a new car is part of the deal.

After all they're expecting her to head the Leceister project & 'keep tabs' on Market Harbrough as well.

And, yes, I get what you're digging at.  :D
A Tdi S-Type might look odd against a V6 twin-turbo Discovery.
The Tdi is too tall anyway
