What do you think??
« on: September 05, 2005, 18:39:48 »
Hi All. I got bored at work today, so i decided to make these. The main one is a Piston from a Suffolk Lawnmower, and the smaller Piston is Made completly from Billet.

Amazing what you can do at work...

WHAT DO YOU THINK?????

Oh Matron. You know, i thought they would be a bit rough, so i relieved the top edge, and they are polished. I like them. They feel good, and you can get a good grip on them. :D

Im not sure if they would fit a Disco. I suppose you could put a groove in the bottom, for the gaiter to tie to. What are the threads on a Disco Gbox and Tbox, as i have one of them too.

Maybe i could produce a few pairs for Sale??? :D

If you could tap one to screw on a Frontera stick I might be interested, depending on price.  I need to repace the pink alloy one the previous owner fitted  :( .

Lol, no idea.  I remember doing that threading for metal work class when I was younger, but not a clue now.  I'll ask someone who might understand to have a look.

Neat idea but sorry to say not new.  Used to have a pen stand and matching ash tray made out of BSA Super Rocket pistons. A garden machinery repair business could be a good source of pistons.

Nothing wrong with those.

I like them.  I may even be tempted to buy a pair if you go into production!   I need to replace my standard ones anyway (they're rather loose)!
