Right then how big would you recommend to go with A/T tyres on a standard ride height jeep would like them to look more meaty but not nuts.
Has anyone put 265/255 /70/15 on if so any pic's please.
It's for a wrangler this one. Thanks  :D

On a standard height Wrangler biggest tyres I believe will fit are 31 x 10.5 R15's M/T's

Steering stops may well need adjusting tho ... see how it goes

Stick to 30/9.5s, you will get 31x10.5s on there (With spacers or adjusted steering stops (Much worse turning circle) ) but the worst thing is the loss of power... 5th gear can end up in semi retirement if you load the car up.

Also, if you do plan to play, you may find they rub on full articulation slightly. most people put a 2" - 2.5" susp lift or 2" body lift on with 31's. You can get a "Budget Boost" 2" lift from MountainJacks for about £150 I think (May be cheaper, can't remember)

I run a 2.5" OME lift on mine with 31's and love it.... Very capable and not scarey to drive fast on road still.... but it does drink the juice when loaded and you can't use 5th :)

Going bigger than 31's is a big (Read expensive) step.

Not got any "Normal Pics" but  here's a wrangler with a 2" body lift

And here's mine with the OME Lift

This shows you why they might rub on full articulation with no lift

EvilEd thats brilliant thats what i wanted to here 2" lift for £150 thats more like it :D  Like the look of having some room under the arch more than having just having big wheels "compromise" .
I will pass that on to the owner to see what she thinks but i can see a lift coming

Thanks again Ed good pics your wrangler looks smart. 8)

Believe me, it looks like a baby wrangler last weekend with some of the tricked up ones there.... The only trouble with big meets is that you get HUGE ideas that are bad for the pocket.

These two:

were about the highest lifts there I think

This one was about the same size as mine and you can see there's a good gap either side in the same hole as the green one above. He rode out the hole on the banks!

P.S. Dave, while you're at it, get your friend to take her silly girly bumper end-caps off.

Yeah, and re-locate the numberplate with a kit from mountainjacks as well or you'll rip it off.... then remove those huge "Over Riders" from the bumpers coz they ruin your angles.... then change the back bumper coz it's just too low... then look at 35's.... :)

Seriously, You can get a couple of front recovery hooks for £6 each I think from Mountainjacks too if she does want to play.... not sure about the rear ones.

Jeep... Just Empty Every Pocket :)
