My new BIG TOY!!

So.....  I've gone and bought a Landcruiser.  It's a Jap import, LWB 3.0 litre TD, Prado TX.  1997, 30k and (comparatively) very cheap.  The local dealer tells me that servicing is no problem as it's 95% Colorado.

I've found that, unlike my series 3 88", I can now cross Salisbury plain without a follow up visit to a chiropractor and a dentist.  I'm keeping the S3 though, as it's superb in the mud and I don't care if it gets all scratched.

I hear that there are loads of bits available for these things, but most of them are in Oz.  Does anyone know of any good UK sites where bits and/or good info are available?

Planning to drive it to Crete in a few months so the AC, ABS and good security are a real bonus.

I used http://www.nipponautomotive.co.uk for some new discs for my Suzuki a few weeks ago, £40 for the pair, brand new!! And more to the point, they actually seemed to know what they were talking abou too.

I also agree with using the old car for the mudding :)

I have a 2002 Shogun Sport as well as the Suzie, bet you cant guess which one I use off road:)
If I could only find some mud to play in, I would be as happy as the preverbial pig!!!

Yep, give them a call. I was very surprised about the price. I will be back onto them this week again for rear drums I think.
Ask them if they have any offers on with the parts you are buying. I missed out on a new torch by NOT buying new pads as well as the discs!! Might not be much, but I needed the pads anyway and lost out. Story of my life :)
