Britains Land Rover Ifor Williams set
« on: September 25, 2005, 11:41:24 »
Just noticed one the other day in a shop in Caernarfon. A land Rover TD5 SW model with Ifor Williams trailer. The scale is 1/32 and reference number is Britains 42128. It was priced at £20 which I thought was alot but being a "Britains" model this price is probably the norm. Britains toys are for posh kids where the parents have lots of money.

Ifor williams trailers are popular in Wales and many pick ups have the Ifor williams cover rather than a canvas hood. Is this loyalty to a Welsh manufacturer I suspect. They do look good.

Undoubtledy so, but Ifor-Williams (name of the founder) are the 'Dogs Doo-dahs' of trailers.
I'm certainly not Welsh, but I'm pleased to own an I-W trailer :D

Maybe but apart from the feeble little towbars they last well. My nephew now gets to play with the ones my brother and I were puhing around the sandpit 20 years ago
