(they shut up when they realise im driving a V8 at the age of 17 AND paying less insurance than they are on their corsa  :D )[/quote]

One of my sons lecturers at 6th form once asked me why my son had to drive the biggest car (V8 110 on LPG) in the school car park. I explained the low insurance/safe/fun/sounds great bit.

Theres obviously something about LPG'd 110 V8's then ....  :D

Mine only *just* fits in the spaces at school, obviously painted out for corsa's etc.....

One of my teachers asked why i drive it, same reasons as you gave....oh and the LPG makes it much more environmentally friendly than small cars running on regular fuel....!

I met a lad locally a few weeks ago, his RR makes ours look tame.  Anyway, as he walked back to his car he heard someone say "b***dy hell, look at the state of that Range Rover".

"charming" he though, then turned round an realised they had meant ours, covered in muck from off-road UK.

One of the neighbours said, "I thought you'd bought another one when I saw that Khaki car outside your house"

Same here,

Mother-in-law still thinks (after 3 years) that it's a Range Rover

who are you with for insurance..? either you are rich, or it must be very cheap to afford a V8 at 17!

The usual question I get is "Do you race it?" I explain that unless one is trialling, it's not about speed.

Oh, and the other one: "..and he lets you drive it?"  :(bigangry):
To which I reply, "well, if she was yours, would you?, actually
I don't let anyone else drive MY baby!!" #-o
