Well, the weeks over but work continues.
Phil (Turtle) came over to collect Big Blue

Sad day but progression is the way forward.
I then set about my snorkel.
I managed to get most of it finished.
I've just got to refit the airbox.

Kate (SWMBO) went to Scorpion Racing today to buy my new rear bumper.
Had a phone call from her saying they'd sold out!
Apparently they hav'nt sold any for ages and 4 went out last week!
Typical.

So she bought me my rock sliders instead.
I guess that'll be the weekend job then.

Today i fitted my light bar.
Looks great and soooo bright!
The 2 middle lights are now my fog lights and the outside ones are wired to my main beams.

Regarding MOT's, not a problem.
1. my station is quite.....er...blind, in the way the look at cars
2. i could always remove the fuse to them.

they are not illegal as long as you can turn them off independently with a switch and dont use on a public road then yes the can be wired with the flasher :lol:

Strange one this
About a year ago i noticed a 110 Tomb Raider heading towards me.
All the standard kit fitted including 4 roof spots.
I flashed to say hi (twilight land rover wave

) and he flashed back.
Blinding me with head lights and 4 roof spots.
So Land Rover special vehicles build them wired up to the main beam?
I guess it had a switch but obviously had left it on?
Strange.

It's not illegal to have roof mounted lights wired to the main beam and they don't have to be separately switched. Construction & Use Regs give specific information about dipped beam headlights e.g. max. 1200mm above ground level unless the vehicle structure makes this impossible, but there's nothing about optional main beam lights.

Have a look here at schedules 4 and 5 about 2/3rds of the way down.

I fitted the Scorpion rock sliders today.
Quite easy to fit although the instructions were a bit vague
(maybe i think all instructions should be like the Safari snorkel ones :roll: )
They look great though.

If the weather holds out i'll get the tank guard on tomorrow (sunday)
I'll be obtaining some more moneys soon that'll pay for the rear bumper, but not before Whaddon.
