Busted rear seat release button
« on: October 24, 2005, 13:50:24 »
Just had the dog guard delivered and went out to fit it.

Need to drop the seat forward and found that the rear seat release for the seat behine front passenger is broken.  The connection comes out of the hole!!

Does anyone know how to release the seat or get the catch back in place.

It's on a 200Tdi L reg.

Cheers

Steve

the part that sticks out that you press i think from memory just screws in, if you have a look at the trim behind the seat/wheel arch there is a couyple of push in studs to hold it all in. pop these out and the trim will come off, thus giving you acess to the latching mech just infront of the seat belt holder. if you take out the studs by the seat you might be able to get you hand in.
if this doesn't help i'll go and have a look at mine
