A sad day
« on: October 24, 2005, 15:48:03 »
:(  Well I haven't posted on here in ages and now I probably won't for quite some time.

I ahve had a run of bad luck recently. I took husbands RR off-road and somehow managed to twist the chassis/drive shaft (the long thing that goes from end to another and can't be fixed)

And now the finance agreement has come to an end on my Freelander and I haven't got the money to make the 'bubble' payment to keep it and they won't extend the credit  :(  so it is going back to Land Rover.

Not only will I be without a vehicle but without a Land Rover! Don't think things could get any worse  :(

Hopefully one day I will save enough pennies to get another one or maybe manage to talk my brother into giving me his Series 2A (this is ongoing for some time now as some of you may remember)

Anyway, will still pop on and see how youa re all doing and get a virtual hit of mud :)

Hi Mary,

Sorry to hear about your troubles, I hope everything gets resolved real soon, in the meantime keep in touch with us here, you never know what might turn up, and you don't have to have a Landy or any other 4x4 for that matter to be a member, you don't even have to get muddy either.

Just stay with us, you might get the offer of a passenger seat with someone going laning one day, don't be afraid to ask and keep in touch with folk in your area too.

All the best.

I agree with Frank,

Lots of people on here haven't got a 4x4, you are still more a Mud-Club member than most 4x4 drivers on the roads as you have the right sort of interest (rather than using one just for school runs etc).

Lots of passenger seat opportunities possible, and if nothing else...... Keep an eye on the For Sale section

Oi, Simon,

Get that Suzuki out of here!

And get your signature changed, your not an Off Road Nooby anymore!

(You see he's right - no suzuki for Simon would mean no hassle!)

Thanks Guys,

I will keep popping on and hopefully will be able to passenger with someone occasionally.

For me though it has to be a Land Rover, bit of a fanatic really, Land Rover coat, cap, umbrella, push chair need I go on

Most people I know think I am sad but I always reply with a phrase I once saw - "yes, but you may go fast but I can go anywhere!2 Always makes me feel better 8) (obviously not currently but could be worse

Mary , if you want to keep the freelander try your own bank for the money. You dont have to refinance through the dealer, you will probably get a better deal with your bank aswell.
Good luck

We have tried refinancing through bank but it seems that we already have too much credit which is why we can't get anymore. Guess that what happens when all money goes into new business and credit is what gets you by :(
