Boy was i surprised!!
« on: October 30, 2005, 09:13:22 »
Having read the thread on Jake converting Challenger for offroad and me helping him fit his 2" lift I casually remarked to the wife about doing the same to hers, fully expecting the usual response of "No way [-X ". However she has now agreed i can fit all the goodies i want to it( when i find the cash) but, and here,s the but, i,m not allowed to offroad it or get it muddy
still half the battle won   i,ll wear her down in the end

I wouldn't go mad then if it's never going off-road, not unless you buy some spray-on mud.

Define off-road though?

I claim to not go off-roading, but I do go 'greenlaning', and my green car is usually a strange brown colour......

It never technically leaves a public road.....

Would this do?

For off roading, read off metalled roading

I was picking up on this bit Kev,

Quote from: "beast5680"
i'm not allowed to offroad it

I know off roading is off metalled roads, but it doesn't sound like she was specific - maybe we could sneak a few lanes in.

Not 'strictly' off-road.

i asked SWMBO to specify offroad and got this answer :D

No play sites.....yet
Greenlanes ok providing
a/ no hedges within touching distance
b/ no deep mud, deep being the depth of the tyre

she is very protective of it as its her pride and joy :D

She still isn't being specific though:

Does she mean the full 30 odd inches?
