:cry: My water pump is screaming at me tried a bit of wd40 but is shuts up 4 a while then starts again checked the belts there all fine and checked the alignment thats fine too :?: so has anyone else had this and was it exspensive to sort any help apprecaited

Have you tried "belt dressing" aerosol spray?

Is the pump or a belt, pop the belt and have a feel round the pump itself, noist bearing, loose on the spindle etc

If its the bearing then looks like another pump is needed. they are sealed units and not really able to get into them.

Normally the pumps start leaking though a small hole at the bottom of the bearing shaft when they are going west. have a pull on the pulley to see if/how much free play there is

Also just thining could it be the viscous coupling?

defo the pump i put me ear on it wit a screw driver and u could hear it in there not lost any water yet  :?

You could always post the write up in the Workshop section of the site, along with any photos you have, and make it available to everyone.  :wink:
