My Fronty is in the Doctors :(
« on: November 18, 2005, 15:04:48 »
Well...

I changed the fuel Filter, changed the leak off pipes (which had perished!!), cracked open the injectors.. fire emup..

after all that, It seemed to work (how wrong I was)

I started to drive to work.. chug chug stop.. Nothing..

Called out the Rece-mecs and they have towed me to the Docs.. Fronty is now in the Garage being looked at. they think they know what it is, as I have done the obvious stuff they thought of.

Its either a blockage between the Filter and the Injectors, or the Filter Pump Diaphram is FUBAR'd.

Either way its in their hands now and I am just waiting for notification of the damage in Sterling :(

I am clicking my heals together and saying

"I will get off road, I will get off road"

IT IS OFF ROAD

Only not how you want it to be, but you will find that a chequebook sorts all mechanical problems quite easily.

Look on the bright side, the garage would have tried all the same things you have, only they would have charged a lot more than the parts cost

You'll have it back soon  :D

Approx £250.00 and it will be back on the road tomorrow

:(

The worst thing is that it was only the Fuel Filter Housing!!, I could probably have changed that myself! :(

One of those things though.. knowing...

Ah well, hopefully I get it back before the forecasted snow hits :)
