A mate of mine is off to an 'agricultural auction' next Saturday - on the list are 3 Series 1's. One of them is a bitzer, and is on a rangie chassis, with a Massey Fergie lump. Another is listed as having a new bulkhead, but no V5, and the third is complete with V5 and reg No. Further down the list is the engine and box from the V8 Rangie !

My mate is basically looking to make a couple of quid, and is considering bidding on the S1's as long as they dont start making silly money.

What sort of money are S1 parts going for at the mo - I'm guessing that the complete vehicles will be proper basket case's, but you never know.

We're thinking about bidding on the registered one, simply as it has an interesting reg No (3 letters, 3 numbers)

Could be non-transferrable number - not worth a penny, although the ID is still worth something I suppose

TBH - Series 1's only make serious money if they are completely original and restored.
Depends how desperate people are for bits for S1's - sometimes bits are pricey other times not.
