Just seen these on ebay
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Land-rover-leaf-spring-lift-kit-NEW_W0QQitemZ4590242040QQcategoryZ31348QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Just wondering what they are realy for? Is it just because people like lifted motors or do they give any improvement to handling/performance?
What about these and parabolic springs? Would this be unstable as hell?
Cheers,
Mike

Some poor sod was ripped off there, brand new they are about £8 a corner. Oh well, always check the new price before visiting ebay.
Haven't noticed any difference on side slopes. On road stability - can you go fast enough for this to make any difference.
If you want the extra travel from the longer shackles and shocks always remember to remove the check strap (the funny dangly bits on stratie's picture hanging off the chassie directly above the axle).

I remember my dad got some for his 109 a few years ago from an army surplus yard, I don't think they were very expensive, but they were good for regular springs. When upgraded to parabolic though we removed them. On my swb I have got regular srping hangers and they give me plenty enough height.
