I wish I hadn't seen that. I don't think I'll be able to keep a straight face when talking to their representitive now. Captain Climate? <snigger>

Using kids etc to get their point across is interesting. I suppose in some way, we'll be doing the same - and my daughter has VERY strong opinions on 4x4's :-)

I can sympathise with these people, I understand what they are trying to do, but they are starting at the wrong end - as usual. We ARE easy targets - to the extent that they will campaign outside a Land Rover dealership, but ignore the Mercedes one down the road that sells 5litre+ V8 sports cars/4x4's?!?!?!? Why? Because Land Rover is more iconic and an EASIER target :(

Nice to see that they will have fun telling me why I can't have one ... they allude to them not being used offroad...ha!

Not that I talk to their representative (couldn't lower myself that far!) I agree that they are simply funny.

I would suspect the 'average' motorist on seeing them would think they were fools and it might push them onto our side. So keep up the good work Greenpeace!

Sian Berry was on Radio 2 yesterday. Spouting her usual lies.

Judging by the on-line poll she did not convince many listeners.

Walking through the local town centre the other day I was approached by a young man with a clipboard and a Greenpeace t-shirt...

He asked me if I could spare a minute, when I said no he asked me if I was certain if I couldn't spare just a few moments...

I replied 'Yes, I'm certain... I drive a Landrover'  A couple of passing pedestrians overhead and must have thought it funny because they just laughed, he went bright red and shut up.

When I walked back from the post office 5 minutes later there was no sign of him or his friends.  Shame

Hmmm, a rather desperate stunt I feel ...

What's even more amusing is that in reply to the 'You're getting very hypocrytical / boring' replies, there's an outburst of what could only be described as 'toilet language'.

So not only are Greenpeace grasping at straws, their so-called supporters have to resort to offensive language in an attempt to get their point across ...

I didn't even bother to grace them with a reply.

Well I'm just amused that they have really done their homework (not!!)
The worst polluting phase of vehicular life is in their production
Over 70%  of all Land Rovers produced are still on the road making them one of the most environmentally sound fossil-fuelled vehicles available!!
(not to mention the fact that diesel versions
could happily run on veg oil if the exchequer did not make it even more expensive than diesel!! And the petrol 'gaz guzzlers' which run on LPG) :(sulk):

I did. I sent them the 4x4prejudice url.

Got a message that it could take a few minutes to go on the page as due to technical issues it needed to be processed or something.  That was two hours ago. Me thinks that the technical issues are censorship and it will never see the light of day
