Cruise Control on Disco 2

Disco2.com has an article describing how to add Cruise Control to "any" Disco TD5.  Does this also apply to manual ones found on this side of the pond, or is it US spec / autos only?

I believe it applies to any and all of them regardless, I know that Mark Casey (Discoparts) does a retrofit kit of the bits and pieces and ISTR a few people that have fitted his kit.

Yes, its all of them. The loom for the console switch will be behind one of the blanks on the right hand side. The loom for the steering wheel switch will be behind the air bag module on the right hand side of the steering wheel housing.

It's a case of plug them in and away you go - so long as CC is enabled in the ECU. You can tell if it is or not, by pluging the console switch in, and turning it on - if the light lights up CC is enabled.

Mark Casey is the best person to get the kits from as he can supply the metal bracket to hold the steering wheel switch in and the tempate for cutting the hole in the side of the s/wheel housing.

I did it to my 1998 manual TD5 a while back now.  One of the best things I have done to the car.  Got the switches from LR and the bracket from Mark Casey (http://www.discoparts.com).
He does a full kit for £55 I think which isn't bad money (can also be found on ebay selling his stuff).
Not too bad to fit either, although taking the airbag off is a bit nerve wracking  :shock:
