Disco 2 Tyre Sizes
« on: March 22, 2004, 16:59:33 »
I'm contemplating putting 245/75s on the Disco at some point.  Any major drawbacks?  The speedo already reads slightly over so it should even out :)

Are 265/70s likely to fit on the spare wheel carrier or do they foul the bumper?  They're only 1/10" larger than the 245/75s which are supposed to be a snug fit.  Anybody tried them?

See http://www.disco2.com/howto/offroader/tyresizes.phtml for details.

Ha ha - my second question assumed that LR's spare wheel holders are built and fitted with a tolerance of 1/10" - doh!

I'll shut the door on my way out...
