Didn't know about that.   Loved him in the Superman films.

As you say, very funny and in many ways a pioneer for black comedians.  Respect.

Gone but not forgatton. There are a few Black comedians still doing his act, his 25 year old material is still funnier than anything they can come up with for themselves.
See no evil hear no evil with Gene Wilder, now thats a funny film.

Respect due's to a man who had every reason to be bitter and twisted,And yet just got funnier and funnier.A living imbodiment of the joker having the last laugh.Put up with a hell of a lot of biggotry in his time and still won.

One of the funniest men ever. "Richard Pryor Live on Sunset Strip" was one of his best. Very sad to se him go :(
