What 4x4 related present are you getting SWMBO for Christmas
« on: December 11, 2005, 11:28:08 »
I've just got these for Maddy - early Christmas present, due to the state of her old ones!

Now the question is - will I get something Land Rover related too?

hold on - we chaps mostly try to hide 4wd/off-road activities from the light of our lives on account of the risk of estrangement/divorce/beheading/sequestering of the debit and credit cards, so have you got an especially understanding one or does she just not know yet that a set of tyres are, in "blokeworld" an acceptable substitute for a world cruise/personal jet/perfume factory etcetc?

A bucket and big sponge so she can wash my Disco after green-laning trips

Neil, I think you should get Maddy an alloy wheel cleaning kit to show off her new tyres  better

neil my old mate

you are a true romantic me i would have taken her away in the silver stead for a weekend pampering.

however you could ask mrs muddy to make you new t-shirt for her " my old man brought me some general grappers or land rover widow with some holly on each side" or get her a lovely warm Land rover fleece.

sorry i don't know what else to suggest been on my own for to long and listening to the wurzels sorts of melts your brain

Unless Johnty buys me a nice yellow 90 I don't want anything remotely related to 4x4. O he could treat me to a weekend somewhere off roading with just him and no kids that would be acceptable.  I have bought him plenty for his landy though so he really has no need to buy things like that for me

Full set of light guards and rubber mats for SWMBO's Freebie are on their way to me as we speak   Hope she isn't reading this or the surprise will be lost..... OK, surprise may not be the right word.... predictable might be more appropriate! I am not a great present buyer, you see. Flowers??? What are they??

Strange that, I have just bought Candy a set of Veredstiener (spell?) winter tyres for the Subaru. Not fitted yet but mounted onto a second set of wheels bought on Ebay.

Perhaps I should wrap one of then and put it under the Christmas tree.
