TICK OVER HIGH V6 SHOGUN.

Hi 2 all having a problem with my 1990 v6 shogun.The tick over is at 1500/2000 rpm i have tried turning down the idle but no joy.I have noticed that when i disconnect the plug at the airflow meter that the idle does drop but runs lumpy when reved,can any body point me in the right direction,thanks. :(

is it a steady 1500 - 2000 or is it hunting up and down?

ITS STEADY AT 1500/2000RPM.

Likely suspects. Stepper motor, famous for failing due to the heat of the mitsi v6 however I would of expected more of a hunting tick over. SO I would look for a vacuum hose leading to the intake plumuem that has split or come off, listen for sucking noises under the bonnet.

ps you'll probably need to have your membership comfirmed before you can get at the other aras including the mitsi area

I had exactly the same problem,,, i manaed to get a stepper motor off ebay for a tenner
Nardek do a brand new one for £82 delivered from Australia,, Mitsubishi want £500
