I.D.That Engine???
« on: March 28, 2004, 13:19:21 »
Hi All
I have acquired a Suzuki Vitara for the right price but the engine sounds like there is someone inside with a lump hammer trying to get out (sounds like big ends).
First of all can anyone tell me how to identify the type of engine I need as I believe there are many different types and secondly has anyone got one in the back of the shed they want to off load.
The motor is a Virara JLX H reg and the VIN Plate says:-
SUZUKI MOTOR CO LTD
      0750701V
 JSAETA01V00121470
             1450     Kg
             2550     Kg
        1-    660     Kg
        2-    900     Kg

TYPE ETA01V     COLOR 0AAC04
ENGINE G16A       LAK625K02
I know what most of this info is but thought it may help someone identify the engine type (G16A?) and tell me they have one I can have for nothing (we can dream   ).
I am a Land Rover man at heart but want to get this motor in the mud as they look good fun and not so heavy as my Disco.
I am sure someone out there has the answer.
