The wife needs to put a rear floor in her series 2a.  The question i ask is how much difference is there between the rear tub of a series 3 and a series 2a (1963).

The reason i ask this is cos rebel do a chequer plate floor (2mm thick) which is ideal, she wont be taking loads in the boot often so its not too bad, but its for a series 3.

I got one of those kits on my series, looks amazing, but had to do some 'trimming'up for the bulkhead panel. Got some large rivets from screwfix too, about 15mm in length, 6mm diameter, fixed it down a treat.

Im not going for the full rear area, just the floor in the middle cos the 2a doesnt currently have one  :oops: hehe

ahhhhh :lol: i went for the whole kit as it was on special offer, took me 2 days to fit though is i had to completley empty the back out !! found a lazy tongue riveter is much better than the usual 9.99 kit from Halfords :lol:

i found that they pull the plates and the rivets tighter than the hand type, and it saves ur knuckles too, just generally easier all round

Yea thats the down side, but i managed to borrow one from a friend, hes  a sheet metal worker. Well worth asking around for tho if you can find one to borrow

Those sissor types are ten million times easier to use that the normal "plier" style.

Well worth investing in a good one tho, the cheaper ones will only last 20 rivets ;)
