....screenwash?   :?  It seems I'm spending a lot of money on the stuff just lately and a home made solution would be a good idea. Anyone?

Won't a concentrate of water & Methylated Spirits (for the road-grease)do the job, perhaps with a hint of car-shampoo (for the other muck)???

Watered down vinegar.. The white stuff you pickle onions in. But dont put the onions in as they might clog it up. :)

I did try washing up liquid once before, many years ago. It was like an explosion at a bubble factory!

Yeah - you really don't need much at all!

If you like the effect, try using your normal amount of bubble bath in a jacuzzi... :x

surely anything with a salt or acid content isn't going to do the car much good?  Thinking vinegar and washing up liquid here.

Was thinking of making a heated washer jet system that uses the engine coolant.  Think of the difference when washing up how much difference the hot water makes compared to cold water.

a little chap I know in Dublin told me out their millennium thing (a statue of a woman in a fountain pool type thing).. Anyway molly what’s her name who sells cockles and muscles is called the tart with the cart.. the bird in the pool was renamed "the floozy in the Jacuzzi" after someone dumped foam into it!

I knew the bloke who had to go out. He was an on an "on call" basis at weekends and got triple time when attending to an incident.
He was indeed laugthing
Think he prefered that to going out to a bloked sewer or other such emergency

Fire Brigade foam concentrate works bloody well in public fountains, and if you add fluoroscein dye the results are colourful too.  It's also a laugh to put a cupful in the toilet cistern and watch the result when someone flushes.

Regular away at the fountain on the Tesco roundabout in Wakefield at one time.

Got so bad once it stopped all the traffic on a Saturday afternoon.Think they eventually switched off the fountain . . . . for several years

And as for screenwash, I've tried all manner of concotions over the years and generally found the shop bought stuff to be the best at the end of the day.
