Wanted - Heavy duty Discovery Snow Plough
« on: December 27, 2005, 07:54:13 »
Good God, utter disaster, 1 cm of snow here. need to fit a snow plough, Someone call the army out I need some ciggys from the corner shop.

We need blankets and food to store, fresh drinking water.  Heaters too, its only 4 degrees celcius here.

A couple of flakes landed near the station earlyer this morning so no trains are running, can we get supplies dropped by plane ?

I just heard that hard hit areas of britain have up to 2 centimeters and there is widespread travel disruption, there is also panic as people rush to find their bobble hats and knitted gloves.

I have also just realised...If it thaws by mid-day we have no flood defences, sea levels may rise rivers may burst their banks, I only have a 2 inch lift kit maybe I should sort out a higher one ?

Its a disaster aint it ?

Yep, we've got about half an inch in here in Cambridgeshire so the 110 will be out to play later.

My kids are outside now
They say its up to 2 and a half centimeters at the edges of the garden fence.  This clearly constitutes drifting.

Has anyone told the army we have snow drifts here in Clacton !

I cant hear any helicopters or supply planes so I can only assume the weather is too severe for the army to cope with.

What will become of us ?

Snow in Nottingham, very rare sight, must be bad in Lincolnshire, we normally get the tail end of it

Looks like only a sprinkle though, up on the estate it will be like this, but I bet the main roads are clear

I know some people up in Derbyshire will be enjoying themselves today, and I dont mean the walkers either
