great deal on safari snorkels
« on: January 05, 2006, 16:28:27 »
After alot of searching I have found safari snorkels for a lot less money than anywhere else. The place to go is Paddocks www.padockspares.com as I have just bought a snorkel for £144 + about £15 vat. If you order online you get free P and P as well. a snorkel for under £160! That is the cheapest I have found for a Safari one. If you know of any where cheaper please do  not tell me as I  may cry!

No please do tell us if you find one cheaper as I am purchasing one for Johnty at the end of this month for his disco 1. We were going to order from Paddocks, as after looking round they were the cheapest I could find, but if someone knows where to get one cheaper that would be great! Ok......... so maybe it would be a bit mean to post it on here but you can pm me if you know somewhere cheaper

Thanks for that but you have postage on top of their price which actually makes them about 8 quid more! Well I think I will stick with Paddocks...... we get a lot from there and know they are reliable but thanks anyway guys  :D

If it helps folks, you know the way the grills on Safari Snorkels tend to break the second they come into contact with a twig - let alone a branch - well I just happen to know where one can purchase a stainless steel replacement!

Supplied by out 'n' out off-roader Cheyne ‘Mr Mole’ Walker (the big guy who drives a blue crew cab Defender 130 and ran the Mud Run for me at the National 4x4 Show Shuttleworth), he too got miffed when his grill broke. Unable to buy a replacement (apart from another crappy plastic one) he simply went out and had a batch made.

He flogs them for £20 and I can personally vouch for the quality. If you want one send me a PM and I'll pass on his mobile number.

Which one to get for the Mpi?  Im thinking the 300tdi with ABS as the airbox is the same.

Anyone else got a Mpi with one fitted?
