Such a small world.  Does the dealer need a nudge to set get the number plate off ?

If anyone looks at it and checks on the dvla it would show up as a defender :)

It is (sorry, was my old one) indeed.
I sat in it this afternoon about 14:30 removing the VED disc & replacing it with the disc corresponding to the re-issued (original) plates

So now it's officially; S296 JVN

Prophetic words indeed from me, well I guessed someone would see it, but not so quickly
No it wouldn't have been part of the deal, as they knew that the plate was coming with me, besides I had all the documentation for the Discovery

As you can see from the 'Forecourt' link, the 'Mud-Club' decals have gone, as has the wheel-cover.
I did ask if it was still around to save me messing about with the one already on the 110, but no.............

And very reliable. 2 new bulbs & a new tyre as 'breakdowns' in 3 years & 30-odd thousand miles. That's not bad for any Landie, is it???

Plus;
new front discs & pads
Rear shocks (3, as one mount snapped!)
5 new tyres, not long after initial purchase, originals were well-worn & no good in the mud)

But those items are simply 'wear & tear', so don't really count

I drove past on Saturday 4th March & it wasn't there.
There is a very tasty looking Epsom Green 110CSW though

But as of now, it's still on the stock-list :?  :?

Did spot a haulage firm down the road with some early 70's Atkinsons in the yard & they look to be still in regular use :D  :D

Just done a little exercise.
Checked reg number S50 RAT with RAC and it comes back as :-
Manufacturer  LAND ROVER
Model  DISCOVERY TDI
Body type  ESTATE
Colour  BLUE
Fuel type  HEAVY OIL
Date manufactured  31 December 1998
Number of previous owners  1
Last owner change  19 December 2002
Then HPI checked it through the same web site and it comes back as :-
Vehicle Details1 for registration number S50RAT
MakeLAND ROVERYear of manufacture1999
ModelDEFENDER 110 COUNTY TD5Engine size(CC)2500
We all know why that is but if a non MC member did it would they touch it with a barge pole, I would'nt, would you?
Just shows how reliable this sort of info is.

Don't know?
But it's on the corner opposite the road that runs over to (eventually) Holmfirth, ie; where the orange road leaves the A628

If someone was interested, in this or indeed any instance, they'd phone the dealer?

The Date Of Manufacture is wrong, as the Discovery was first registered in August 1998

Wont be either of them then, James Durrans is nearer to Penistone from Silkstone 4x4 on the right and Ernest Thorpe is at Thurgoland on the A629   I'll have a look at those next time I'm over that way
