There's a piece in this mornings 'Yorkshire Post'[/b] reporting that the Green Party admit they've got their policies on cars wrong & people regard them as a vital neccesity, not a luxury as the 'GP' seem to believe.

Whatever next?

I wrote that in an email to the anti's, along with a load of other stuff, did I get a reply.....?

Tony Blair must increase road tax for gas-guzzlers and offer incentives for people who choose to drive more fuel-efficient vehicles.

There is more tax, the larger engined vehicles pay more than the smaler engned vehicles on road tax each year, then they pay for the tax on the fuel that they use, thats already paying more tax, how much more does GP want the government to get.  Oh I just realised, GP want the government to get more money to spend on weopons, maybe like nuclear warheads!

No they wont ban cows as such but have them all fitted with special collectiom sacks to contain the methaine etc.
This will then be collected daily similar to milking and the gaese will be used to heat the the mud huts we will all be forced to live in and power the totaly non-pouluting mundainemobiles that they will have us all driving in 20 years time when they have taken over the world.
this same system will then later be install on evey animal on the farm and aprox 5 yeears after its introduction will be made compulsory for people as well to wear as well.

I've seen the future and if GP have there way its not priety

What was it in one of the land rover mags a couple of months back.....?

"A return flight to New york produces the same CO2 emissions as a new Discovery would if it were ran for 37 years!" ?

That puts it all into perspective to me.

Why is it everyones right to fly off on 2 or 3 foreign holidays per year and governments to subsidise low cost airlines to get them to fly into airports where they normally wouldn't as no-one wants to go there and yet it isn't our right to drive what we want to even though we produce far less emissions?  Next time one of these antis says something to you ask them where and how often they holiday!!!

That's bullplop an'all, the Pirus get 55mpg, get a Citrone C1 HDi gets 86 odd, so how is the Pirus the most economical car there is?
