my 2nd disco

I am about to purchase a series II disco with ACE EBD ETC and ABS with all this stuff I would like if I can to still put on a 3" lift kit. By doing this am I going to wreck anything ie ACE is to control body roll if I go higher will the ACE have to work harder putting more load on it thjus detsroying my power steering pump.
Would like to know things like that before I do it any way.

I may be wrong, but I think you will be hard pushed to put a lift on a Disco with ACE and the active rear suspension.  There are height sensors on the back which are used in the slef-levelling system, as well as the actuators for the roll-control.

I would suggest that this is not a job for the faint hearted.

Hi Loki

Mark Casey at DiscoParts does a kit for the SLS disco which will give you (IIRC) 2 inches of lift at the rear. Lift Kit Detail

So it is possible, and it's fairly easy...

This is only the rear - the front's pretty standard coils though, so you should be able to get standard upgrade springs for that.

Drop Mark a line via his site - he's usually more than happy to talk anyone through his products.

Cheers

I've read about lifted Disco IIs with SLS - it's relatively easy to put spacers in the SLS sensors, and also the airbags.  Not sure about ACE but I can guarantee an American has already tried it.

In fact, there's an article on Disco2.com which explains it in some detail.

And an article on ExpeditionExchange by somebody who has done it (and very good it looks too).
