Brake pipes?
« on: January 18, 2006, 21:55:51 »
Hello all,

I am tackling the brakes on my project, got some lengthened flexy pipes from MIll services.  They don't fit.  Probably because I have a Disco front axle and the hoses come off the front of the hub as opposed to the back.

Made some new brackets to bolt onto the steering box bolts which seems to work OK but now I need to make some new brake pipes for the rest of the vehicle (probably not a bad idea as the existing ones are caked bad).  The vehicle is a standard 300 TDi.  If I was to buy some connections, what am I looking for (thread and size)?

Also does anyone know the part number for those plastic pipe clips that slot into the chassis?  Or any idea where I can get them from other than a Landrover dealer?

I wish this project would just hurry up and finish!

But I don't think it will if I keep making simple mistakes

hello!

I've got some extended brake pipes from a disco (goodrich) which may be able to help.. I was hoping they would bolt onto the 90 I'm planning on getting so we may be able to help each other out.. drop me a line if interested.

Matthew
