this sent to me tonight:
Dear members of LandRover Brotherhood.com
Finally we started with a new international service:
www.mystolenlandrover.comThe idea came from LandRover Enthusiast and LRB was allowed to set up
the same service for the World.
We already reported 4 Land Rovers, one of them was found within 3 days
because of a attentiveness of a forum reader in the Netherlands.
Is your Land Rover stolen, do you know someone who's Land Rover has
been stolen?
Please visit the website and fill in the report form.
After your report we will contact you for a recent photo and the rest
of the details.
Within a few day's, your Land Rover will be reported as stolen at
www.mystolenlandrover.comWe also have a special database for this concept.
Every stolen Land Rover VIN-number, will be stored as "stolen (+ date
of being stolen)"
When your Land Rover has been found, this VIN-number will be reported
as "used to be stolen (+ date)"
And when you want to know if your Land Rover is reported as stolen,
hopefully you will see "not reported as stolen".
The reason of this VIN-collection is to provide a service to the World.
When you want to by a Land Rover or just a chassis.. you want to know
what has happend to this vehicle.
When it is stolen, you do not wish to buy it, right?!
Hopefully we will succeed in this concept.
When you discover that your VINnumber is reported as stolen, please
sent us an eMail.
We will contact the rightfull owner.
When you spot a stolen vehicle, do not attempt to apprehend it, but
contact the police and let them recover it!
Please mention the website
www.mystolenlandrover.com on your website!
A banner will be downloadable within a few weeks from now.
Help to stop illigal activities, help to find Land Rovers back to the
owner!
Many thanx, Marc -LandRover Brotherhood
