disco tdi thermostat temp
« on: January 24, 2006, 15:46:54 »
My discos heater was luke warm and temp guage was only halfway to the qurter temp mark. I just changed the thermostat and it's gone just a touch over the quarter now and is much warmer.
I put the old stat in a pan and heated it and it opened so it can't be that bad. The new one is an 88 degree. Just out of interest does anyone know what degree stats were fitted originally?
The bloke att mm4x4 said you can only get 88s for a 200tdi?

As far as i know............88's are standard and you can also get 90,92.

They are always cold IMO........mine runs much better colder.
Where there is mud there will be someone stuck.........then the fun begins

I have an 82c thermostat in my Disco 200Tdi engine in my 90, it's from a Maverick 2.4, can't remember the part number off hand, but it works a treat.

It's nice to know that of all the places a Land Rover can go, anywhere could be one of them!

Remember, when it comes to Land Rover ownership, there is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."
