Hi All

I am Now Restoring My 1967 Series 2 LWB Station Wagon but i need to know which side the numbers plates go ...on the left or on the right wing  ???

As you look at the rear of the vehicle, it goes on the left ISTR.  I think it goes on the left as you look at the front too...

Can't tell you for the front as John's is a 2a with the plate on the bumper but the back is definately left as muddyweb stated.......see pic

On my 2A, the rear number plate is on the right.

My iia also has it on the right (drivers side) and that seems to be normal until very late in series III production!

Mine's a '63 2A (closer to being a 2 really) and both plates are on the Off side

I have a book that shows loads of series 2's when they were new, and number plates are on the offside front and rear.

When I got my Series 2a, it was a hardtop with a roof rack and ladder, the plate at the back had been moved to the right so as not to be obscured by the ladder..
It is I think fair to say then that the plate was proberly made to go on the left from new.

My front one is in the middle, so I can't help you there.

If you look at classic van's that might give you a better indication.
