« on: January 30, 2006, 20:18:36 »
hello  what should i do last weekend i was pulling away from a round about and thought the person had gone in front of me, well he hadn't so i hit him only doing about 5 mph i bent his back door in rear light and the back corner, and not a scratch on mine i sorted all the details etc and have told my insurance what happened. Well my insurance is up the end of this month and i have already set it up with another company ready to start i have sent all my proof of no claims etc off so do i have to inform my new insurers of what happened.  joe

it will possibly void you insurance if they find out, they'll do anything to not pay.

yes you will need to tell, there will be a sub clause in your policy stating that if you have not provided correct information requested, then the policy is no longer valid and you could be liable to a hefty premium hike.

All the insurance companies now have access to ALL your information so they are able to tell your history. Bit like big brother really.

it is all to help with fraud , which costs US hundreds of extra pounds a year. You have to tell them as they wont check unless you have another claim in which case they often pay out the 3rd party and then sue you for it!!!! Not pretty.
