I think that cos Land Rover only made them to U.S, Oz & S.A specs so you wouldn't be able to register them without major modifications to exhaust, ECU, lights etc and an SVA test.  :(

Although Dave Barker (LRE) managed to get one off Land Rover for "assessment" on the Belgium National in 2003 and rather nice it was too!!  :D

landrover prohibited the sale of the keith gott g4s due to them bringing out a g4 special edition td5.

now the series 3 is out they are now allowed to sell them.

got this from a chap who works there

I called Steve Gott before xmas and enquired about buying a 03 G4 (23k) Disco and he never mentioned any UK issues , but a couple of people i mentioned this to also said they are no-go in the uk due to being produced for US/OZ/SA so i left it and am now looking for something else "a little special". Any info would be handy because i really would like a G4? Also if anyon has knowledge of the LR LTD edition G4 i would like to know as this is really what i am after

Gary, ask the same question on our DiscoveryOwnersClub forum, one of our members has one (don't think he haunts here), its 4x4xFlowers.

regards,
Mark
