Girly steps. Leave on or take off?

I have some side steps on my disco that are quiet rusty and they are mounted to the chasssis and wondered if they would protect my sills or just get bent and stop me the whole time. I dont care if they get bent but I dont want them bending into anythin vital. So should I leave them on or take them off?

If you dont care about them or dont use them, get rid of them.
If you do bend them up they will look ugly and you'll possibly make them harder to remove.

depends on how strong they are.

I would take them off and fit rock sliders.

Saying that i have just put steps on mine, but mine are mega strong.

Take them off , ive seen them bend up against the door bottom-not only
ruining the step but causeing big scrapes in the door, actually hamper
you in deep ruts -thats where i saw the damaged doors-in deep ruts,
take them off paint em up sell on or swap for something usefull,like rock sliders,

Be a man and take them off,put on rock sliders.Mill Services make them to order.Got a pair of tree rock sliders for my rangie galv and powder coated for £180. Well worth the money! :)

they will bend on your first outing to a pay and play, mine did :D

can high lift from my steps. lol

sell them cheapy ones on ebay and get some sliders.

Looks like the jigsaw is coming out this week then. I am going to a pay and play site this weekend.

I would LOVE to have some rock sliders but cant afford to eat at the mo let alone buy toys. I have bought a CB radio with my tip money from xmas which tip money ONLY gets spent on toys.

Discoparts do rocksliding steps - best of both worlds.

I nearly had a set, but went for the ones with jacking points instead.

The disco came with the manky rusty steps but I was just wondering if they would protect my sils or not and sounds like they wont!

Is there a web site for those disco parts and possible prices to see how many pennies i need to save? A rock sliding side step would be good as my mum does struggle to get in the disco before i buy a 1" lift kit!

Give Mark a call, he'll happily talk to you in detail about your options.  Decent rocksliders aren't exactly a giveaway, but you'll thank your lucky stars when they start to do their job.
