I was idly looking through my road atlas last night whilst trying to find somewhere & glimpsed at the Welsh pages
Don't the Welsh give their towns & villages some apt names? Someone way back when had a premonition :lol:

For example;

Llandovery

Llandre

Llandyfnan

And eleswhere;
Rangemore (Staffordshire)

Rangeworthy (South Gloucestershire)

Freeland (Oxfordshire)

But this sleepy little hamlet looks like a place to bed down for the night

Somewhat alarmingly, I know someone who pronounces Llandovery as 'Landrovery'.

I think he's in too deep.

One of the places i work at is on Llandrovery road (actually Llandovery).

I can no longer write or remember it as anything other than 'llandrovery'! :D
