They do ocasionaly actually go offroad :)

I must confess the the activities of the UK governments for the past couple of years have been watched with frank admiration and amazement by Lord Vetinari. Outright theft as a policy had never occured to him.

Those were all stupidly low milage too. I know least two of the Hants ones went to a restoration place though so thats nice. Would have made exceelent little 4x4 campers though. Ours had the mounts for a massive lighting mast and an aux 110V engine generator fitted :)

I think they went for the Terranos based on cost and reliability. They have also been proven in the feild as it were by the Police as economical but capable offroaders.

personally I'm with you :) And there is at least one Disco in Hants.

Natyionally it should be the Challanger. You'll get asked to replace them eventually as the Challanger is a St John spec purpose built thing. Our Rangies went for these about 3 years ago, I'm now told the 110 I thought we had went last year too  :(  Personally i think they look ugly and have avoided driving one so far. mIts the same as the national thing about replaching all the Ley Daf/ Master/ Transit/ Laser Ambulances with Crusaders.

Hell better kit than NHS Trusts get anyway :)

I work for BT and we have 3 90's/td5's in the group..One long wheel base the others are smaller which i can't fit in :(thinkhard): only with the window  open.. when they first get delivered all the good bits get taken off.. all terrain tyres for road tyres the winches taken off etc etc....
But don't they shift...Great for someone to buy all serviced up, low mileage..My mate Mark bought a ex fleet 90 and its great..just had it re-sprayed as it was the old gray colour...But even the fleet are changing to rangers :(mad):  as the up keep and cost from landrover out way the cost of a ranger :(thinkhard): not good

i have to admit if i had the cash i would buy an ex fleet one not even properly used of road.

rick in bucks we are different i think the fleet is going to suffer for a year or so because Wolverton is having a brand new HQ Built

Planning a 'SUPERHQ' down here, discovered one of the sites they paid £80K for 15 years ago is now worth about £8 mil :)

Thats anothe rone of the ones Hants had. 3 the spitting image of that and one with a SpaLight.

Was offered one 3 years ago for £250 but I turned it down, thinking no point as I'd never get chance to play with it off road :)

Here's our old one, Affectionatly known as Rotten M :)

She's in Romsey some place now, fully restored.

Our old Rover 3000TC had a manual start thingy on the solenoid, thought it was an interesting way to go about it :)
