I'm looking at buying a Disco, probably arround 3years old. Question is, is it worth paying a bit more and going to a main dealer and getting one with Land Rover approved warranty?

Anyone had good or bad experience ?

Personally wouldn't touch a main dealer with a barge pole. Go to one of the inderpendants,

Main stealers just want your hard earned money, were as the others want you to come back and use them for servicing and to upgrade later.
Cheers.

Dunno about warrantys, but Last night some one in a rr sport, was being winched onto an AA recovery wagon on the m1, I bet he was thinking about it

buy one from a smaller dealer/private, call the RAC, and buy a warranty.

They do a pretty good range of warranties that you can purchase over the phone, and give damn good cover.
My 1.9 jtd fiat multipla cost 295 for a years warranty(inc turbo cover)
damn good deal!
Go on....cut me in half........it says SUZUKI all the way thru the middle!!

If you buy from the main agent you will pay well over the odds , but should get a 1 service and warranty as the have to meet the standard SET by Land Rover.................the old story you should get what you pay for....................Me I be brave and by private , you still have rights....

A lot of independant will be able to sell you the RAC (or similar) warranty.

As for servicing quality.. any decent independant should be able to work to LR standards (have you *seen* the people main agents employ as "mechanics" ?)

The key, if you are looking at the more modern vehicles is to make sure the workshop has some decent diagnostics equipment so they can provide you with the proper support.
