I think he means it's a number between 2770 and 2779, but he didn't catch the last digit.

The numbers shown on that list aren't actually the membership numbers.   It's just the place they appear in the list based on the search order you have chosen.   For example, if you just look at the joined date, and look at the start, you will see that I have number 2...  except I am actually member #4  ;-)

Just had a look through the profiles, in there we have Freelander owners, Discovery owners, and people who have registered and never posted (who I suspect wouldn't have bought a splat).

Are you sure about your numbers?

Yes I did read the first post and exept that it does'nt need inspector Frost to work it out but it also makes it easier for the local reps to know how many members are in there area if you at least put the county in your location.
As you like, I am an easy going guy and don't want to upset any one but I also like an easy life and like to help other have the same.

Your right, were not forcing you, but it really does help when you look at some of the posts, eg for sale "x", for collection only....... always gets the question "from where" and:

Quote from: "Sooty"
it also makes it easier for the local reps to know how many members are in there area if you at least put the county in your location.

Exactly, I can see that Bev is in Derbyshire from his location, and so I can sneak in this opportunity to remind him that it is our pub meet TONIGHT    and in the same way, you would get similar reactions.

It's just a suggestion though, but it's a good one

it doesn't happen as often with landies tim,but given my loaction and my numberplate, paj's get stolen to order
i can see your point, and it's a good one,but i think it would be far easier if you had area usergroups. then you can subscribe to these groups and recive a pm telling you what's going on in your area

really easy to do on phbb boards, you could have them area specific, and also for events like billing or whaddon.

it's something we do on poc,and i will get added to itoc as that will save me ringing round,pm ing and emailing people to see what they want

I think we are heading off your original point in this thread, my view is that I think you should have a location, but it's YOUR choice

WE DO!

Click into say photos, at the bottom of your post, then log in and you will be given the chance to re-register, which we will all soon have to do annually, in there you can opt-into o out of usergroups for area and there are a few other options too, have a look
