couple of questions about 1.8 petrol engine head gasket's
1:at what mileage do they normally go
2:how can you tell if yours has been done

1) Whenever they feel like it... there isn't a set number
2) Service records are the main way to tell really
If the head gasket has been done, the head should really have been looked at, possibly skimmed and pressure tested as well.
