good deed for the day recovered

Left one of my kids at the parents this morning before meeting up with Loony, on way to meet spotted a Rover 200 stuck in a small ditch at side of road.
They had been coming the opposite way spun on the corner and now on other side of road facing the opposite way in the ditch.

Not local and had nobody nearby to help, had called the police but wer'nt sure where they were to advise them correctly.

Towed them back onto the road and then lo and behold Police defender shows up.
Everyone was very greatful and sung the praises of 4x4 owner having the mind to stop and assist.

Got no photos

you forgot to mention the second car we nearly got to tow on the moors.
Single lass in a peugeot stuck on an icey hill.
Fortunatly she was well wrapped up and had friends near by to assist so no help required but we stopped and she was more than happy to see two discos coming towards her with an offer of a tow.

The one we saw just appeared to have had no traction at all on the road going uphill

She was very pleased to see us and even though she had help on the way, we must remember she may not have done.

It's a very isolated road that one between Teesdale and Weardale.
