You'd need pictures of the engine. Everything else looks as it should on a 200.

Hey, that's the Disco opposite where I live!!! I always admire it when I walk past it with the dog in the morning... It looks very clean fit it's age. even the back door hinges aren't rusty. It certainly looked better than my N reg 1995 Disco, which is a bummer considering it's much older......!!!

How much is it BTW?????

It should have multi groove pulleys instead of V belt. Engine mounts are slightly different If not it will sit slightly p***ed in engine bay ! :?

Here it is
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4621161525

If it is all above board as the advert claims then there should be some paperwork for the conversion - from the pictures on ebay there isn't anything there that has been upgraded to 300Tdi spec.
Normal upgrades are - headlight/front end, rear bumper.

If it is the engine that has been upgraded then the most obvious difference between the 200 and 300 engine is the thermostat housing circled red and the dipstick colour/position circled yellow.
The 200 is on the left, 300 on the right.

For sure its a nice clean 200.........but the e-bay ad says nothing about a 300 up grade...........so bid for a 200 and NOT the 300.

Good luck

If you're referring to the differences highlighted then you better speak to who  you bought the car from and ask them to explain :?

On the other hand, I grabbed the pic's off a google image search - the 300 engine does not have the rocker insulating cover on and the 200 has had the rocker insulating cover fitted as an 'aftermarket' accessory

good examples to put up on there - the 300 is on the right - the acoustic cover can be very misleading and this picture highlights it.

do you know if the gearbox has been taken up to 300 (r380 from lt77)

one way of finding out

on the 200

you push away from yourself towards the passenger and forward

in a 300 i belive is direct opposite, towards u and back?
