Grizzlys..... How Loud?
« on: March 19, 2006, 20:19:02 »
Na then, i have acquired myself a set of 265/75 Grizzly Claws for a very nice price for offroad use (Cheers Skywalker & Son).  I asked Someone on a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being Michelin XCL) how loud they were and was told 11!  I am going to fit them and drive up to the Dales next weekend to try them out but........  Is this wise, am i going to end up deaf?

When Bulli had(the same set of tyres on I think)Grizzlies on, it sounded like a WW2 bomber approaching, and as he drew to a halt, the noise sounded like the engine had stalled!

Gripped well in the mud tho!

Get em fitted, Itll still be quieter than mine
Go on....cut me in half........it says SUZUKI all the way thru the middle!!

Stick them on for a few days first & try it.
A couple of trips along the M62 (or Driglington bypass)& you'll soon know if they're too loud

in a disco they are dreadful as its got alot of soundproofing so you can only hear the tyres and not the engine, in a defender on the other hand all you can hear is the engine and not the tyres  :P ....but hey..wot the hell ! handling is interesting ! got a mind of there own in the wet o ond corners, they dont do cornering....the just skip sideways with alot of juddering of the side lugs but you will get used to them and adjusts accordingly, had mine on for 5-6 months and cant complain really

JW, just turn the radio up to full ;)

You'll soon get used to the noise level. Look on the bright side, you will keep checking your oil more often in the engine just to prove it is still running :D

and on the other side, who gives a tinkers curse what they sound like if they get you out of that damned crap!!!!
If I could only find some mud to play in, I would be as happy as the preverbial pig!!!
